Built from working experience.

Gemsdale is Dean Lindsay’s independent software development initiative. Its projects begin with real production needs at Gemsdale Photography, where high-volume event work makes reliability and clear organisation essential.

The aim is simple: reduce repetitive administration, preserve the photographer’s control and make established workflows easier to manage.

Gemsdale Publisher

A flexible publishing integration designed to turn user-defined structures into organised ShootProof galleries through Lightroom Classic and authorised API access.

Purpose

Develop a reusable way to define, save and publish multi-level gallery structures, with dependable status and safe handling of interrupted uploads.

First proving ground

Private studio testing at Gemsdale Photography, beginning with authorised API access and controlled gallery, album and photo publishing.

Current foundation

GP Event Builder already prepares club, event and class structures within Lightroom’s ShootProof Publish Service for studio use.

Project status

Gemsdale Publisher is under development and is not currently available for public download. Initial access is intended solely for controlled testing within Gemsdale Photography.

One identity.
Four focused tools.

Built first around dog-agility photography, the family is being designed around reusable structures that can adapt to other event-led photographic workflows.

Securely carries prepared gallery, album and sub-album structures—and their photographs—from Lightroom Classic to ShootProof, supporting dependable publishing and republishing through authorised API access.

Creates consistent, watermark-protected cover images, ready to represent galleries without repetitive manual preparation.

Creates reusable, user-defined event structures in Lightroom Classic using configurable levels, labels and templates—ready for Publisher to deliver to ShootProof.

Supports repetitive production work while leaving selection, crop and final creative judgement with the photographer.
